i love my new iMac at home, and i would get one in a sec if i could jam that Nitris in there - i guess i could get an expansion chassis, but then it'd be as much as a new(ish) mac pro. then there's the fibre channel stuff… you get the picture. there's basically no money for this, i'll have to jump through hoops to get $500 for a GPU.
Why not get an iMac? Spending any more money on your 2008 machine seems like a waste to me.
