Boris RED and AvidFX is from the same company and is almost the same software. I use one or the other in almost all my films. So I asked Boris himself what will happen with the new license setup from Avid.
They offer an upgrade of both products to a new Boris RED 5.5, which will open effects created in both of the earlier programs. Some effects will even become green dot.
Great relief, I think.
