Re: [Avid-L2] Another bug in Title Tool

And more (I posted this on the MC 6 bug thread on the Avid Forum):

In the Save dialogue is the Fast Save option. This is permanently greyed out in this version so I poked about a bit and found a Fast Save menu choice in the Object menu. Here's what happens: select fast Save from the Object menu and save your title. The normal dialogue appears (choose bin etc) and an unrendered title appears in the bin. The nice thing is that you can now work on the title and use Cmnd+S to keep saving updates without the save dialogue appearing again. Updated titles appear in the bin.

When done, choose the most recent title and 'Create Unrendered Title Media' from the Clip menu . . .

But . . . when done, the title name you originally chose is truncated by one character. So if you made titles such as 'Caption_1' and 'Caption_2', they all end up as 'Caption_' !

So, that's a bug, right? Also, if this is the new way of doing a Fast Save, please remove the option from the Save dialogue as it does not have a function any longer.

And don't get me started on 'Effect Source Drive' (that's for another day).

Normally, you'd just have to drag the text box wide enough for the line to become a single line again. But with a drop shadow, you basically have to DOUBLE the size of the text box when you resize.
