Thirded! (???)
Sometimes you come into a thread late in the game and a reply catches your interest...or all of a sudden the topic becomes relevant. It's nice to have the "backstory" to help, as opposed to searching the archives that sometimes proves to be a futile effort.
A message rule is the way to go, then read/delete to your liking.
