Job Description
Technician is responsible for the facility's creation and/or duplication of Broadcast media content and the expediting of said content to the Traffic team for all shipping & labeling needs to ensure DPS & Traffic order completion.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Manages active video ingests for Digital asset management and uploads to NOC for transmission and order assignment and eventual completion;
- Comprehends and completes all DPS and Traffic orders with any services requested;
- Establishes priorities and proactively communicates all errors and discrepancies to supervisor;
- Evaluates media content for continual quality control and improvement on standardized operating procedures;
- Follows internal control procedures to quickly and efficiently direct and distribute physical product with minimized expenses;
- Proactively communicates and coordinates with other departments and facilities to manage workflow, organize customer priorities or resolve problems as they arise;
- Trains employees on equipment or procedures when necessary;
- Develops positive team relationships with subordinates, coworkers and other departments through leadership;
- Other duties as assigned;

Specific Skills and Technical Knowledge
- Working knowledge of Advertising business and processes.
- Comprehension of production and post for studio work including all processes to meet technical specifications for film, video or audio in relation to: telecine, editing, mixing, converting and the storage mediums for compression, encoding, transmission and archival.
- Understands the audio and video signal path for analog and digital mediums and associated legal specifications for formats & standards and their associated conversions. Can effectively monitor and meter these signals using vectorscope and waveform monitor to ensure strict legal broadcast requirements.
- Mastery of formats and encoding for methods of transmission, duplication or distribution of: D1, D2, D5, D9, HDCAM, DVCPROHD, DBC, BCSP, DVCAM, MiniDV, DVCPRO, 1", BCSX, IMX, VHS, S-VHS, ", DAT, DA-88, Audio Cassette, CD & DVD as well as associated routine maintenance or care of equipment used in all above mentioned formats.
- Editorial at on-line or off-line levels to master spots or distribution material including but not limited to: customizations, tagging, closed captioning, SIGMA, AMOL, Veil, Verance and Macrovision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, and all Post production software and systems as deals with clients Post Production needs. (AVID, Adobe, Discreet, etc )

Qualifications
- 3 years of audio/video production, duplication or editing.
- A minimum of 1 year of Ad Agency or Studio Production.
- High School degree required; college degree strongly preferred.
